Our Services

Real Life Living Services provides care and assistance services to people who need extra help and companionship in their life to promote and maintain their independence. We provide assistance at home and in the community with areas such as personal goals, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation,  medication reminders, appointments, errands,  and other tasks, chores, and assistance as requested.

Community Living

Support Services

This service is designed to meet the needs of adults living in the community receiving supports funded through the local Community Mental Health (CMH )or Area Agency on Aging (AAA). This service is more encompassing than the Home Help Program.

After completion of an elaborate assessment of an adult with a disability, CMH may approve funding for the individual to have in-home help for a certain amount of hours per year. The assessment looks at a more complex venue of daily living topics than the areas that the DHS Home Help Program reviews. Typically, a client who needs more help and supervision than what the DHS Home Help Program can provide will apply for additional direct care supports through the CMH or AAA Community Living Supports Program.

Upon authorization from CMH or AAA, staff will provide daily living supports in all aspects of the clients life including: daily chores & routines, bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, medication, housework, laundry, meal prep, clinical programs, toileting, eating, community activities, skill building (such as socialization, behavioral, daily living tasks, health & safety, community inclusion, etcetera), medical needs such as medical & dental appointments and basic daily medical care duties, financial management, shopping, organizing, and general supervision.

Real Life Living Services can provide these same types of services on a private pay basis for those individuals who do not qualify for CMH or AAA funding.

Senior Care Services

This program provides one-on-one non-medical care and assistance to people living in their own home who need extra help and companionship in their life to maintain their independence. We provide help anywhere from a few hours a day to 24 hours a day, seven days a week including weekends and holidays. We provide help with light housekeeping, meals, grocery shopping, personal care, medication reminders, appointments and errands, and other tasks, chores, and assistance as requested.

Children’s Waiver &

Respite Services

This service is funded by the Community Mental Health (CMH) of the county in which the family lives. Upon authorization by CMH, our staff will assist the child at home (typically after school and weekends and/or when the family is away) with daily living activities such as learning chores & routines, meal preparation and eating, health & safety skills, hygiene, homework, and socialization skills.

After proper training by assigned clinicians, staff will work hands-on with the child with any clinical programs they may have such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and/or Behavior Modification. The staff will also go on community activities with the child for socialization/behavioral skill building, as well as just to have fun.

This program helps children develop the skills they need for adult life in addition to alleviating the stress and time management problems that most families encounter when raising a child with a disability while maintaining a cohesive family unit. Real Life Living Services can provide these same types of services on a private pay basis for those families who do not qualify for CMH funding.

Home Help Services

This service is designed to meet the needs of adults living in the community receiving supports funded by the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) of the county in which the individual lives. Upon completion of an assessment of in-home skills and abilities, the DHHS may approve Home Help funding for a certain amount of time monthly that an individual with a disability would need help with completing in-home related chores and tasks. The areas assessed include bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, medication, housework, laundry, meal prep, range of motion, toileting, and eating. Real Life Living Services can provide these same types of services on a private pay basis for those individuals who do not qualify for DHHS funding.

Supported Employment Services

RLLS also provides Supported Employment Services in most areas. Supported Employment Services includes job development, initial and ongoing support services, and activities to assist adults with disabilities to obtain and maintain paid employment that would otherwise be unachievable without such supports.

Client Testimonials

I like the person that takes care of me. I feel comfortable.

My caregiver is wonderful in attending to my needs and helping me live independently.

They help me clean up and have everything organized. They’d do a better job than I’d do.

I am most proud of getting out in the community and socializing and learning to spend money.

I am most proud of my increased ability to stay on task.

I appreciate the help around my house and taking my dog for a walk with me and help me if I fall.

I'm happy that there's a company that helps people that need it or else their needs wouldn't be met without the service.

I am very proud of learning how to read, and becoming a better cook.
